1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShopClaw.dev ("Service"), operated by ShopClaw ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including API consumers, MCP skill users, and website visitors.

2. Description of Service

ShopClaw provides a product search API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) skills that enable developers and AI agents to search product data indexed from Shopify stores and other e-commerce platforms. The Service includes REST API endpoints, MCP server integrations, a developer dashboard, and related documentation.

3. Account Registration

To use the API, you must create an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits and fair use policies. Each API call returns up to 200 results. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access if usage patterns indicate abuse, excessive load, or automated scraping beyond the intended use of the API. Current rate limits and usage quotas are documented in our API documentation.

5. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Resell or redistribute raw API data without adding substantial value
  • Use the Service to scrape, copy, or replicate Shopify store data in bulk
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, spam, or harm third parties
  • Circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Share your API key with unauthorized third parties

6. Data Accuracy

Product data provided through the Service is indexed from publicly available Shopify stores and other e-commerce platforms. While we strive to keep our index current and accurate, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of product information including prices, availability, descriptions, or images. Product data is owned by the respective merchants and store operators.

7. Intellectual Property

The ShopClaw API, MCP skills, website, documentation, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of ShopClaw. Product data accessed through the Service remains the property of the respective merchants. You retain ownership of any applications you build using the Service.

8. Payment & Billing

The Service operates on a pay-per-search model. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You may recharge your account balance at any time. Prepaid credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. New accounts receive a free credit balance as described on our pricing page.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopClaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and any remaining credit balance will be forfeited unless a refund is required by applicable law.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
